He attended the local schools in Williamsburg County, graduating from Vox High School where he met the “Love of his Life” Lula Mae McGill. After graduation, the couple married on September 15, 1951. The couple later moved to Winston-Salem, NC where Dr. Williams worked many jobs, from ditch digging to construction, and anything in between to provide for his family. He started out at Winston Leaf Tobacco Company, and also worked at Hanes Hosiery for many years before leaving to work at R.J. Rose M. Williams, daughter of Thelma Jackson and Willie James Morris was born in Bronson, Florida on May 21,1953. She was a straight-A graduate of Bronson High School, Bronson, Florida and was a loving mother to her four children, Joey, Laurinda, Tanetra and Terrence. Rose was a member of Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church, Largo, Florida, under the leadership of Reverend Benny Dyer.
After graduating high school, Rose began building her legacy and joined the United States Army, where she served in excellence with the Military Police and did a “tour of duty” in Germany. Rose continued her service with the United Postal Service, where she ultimately retired. Rose served with the spirit of excellence in every capacity in both her military and civilian life.

Born in Bartow, Florida on December 21, 1934, to Benjamin Williams, Sr. and Gussie Williams Watson, Benjamin was strongly influenced by his grandparents, James and Alberta Waldon. From an early age, Mr. Williams demonstrated an excitement for learning. He began elementary school early, starting first grade at age 4, and progressed rapidly through his formative education. By the young age of 15, he was a freshman walking the green hills of Florida A&M University. After completing his Bachelor's degree in Education, he earned a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University and completed extensive post-graduate study in Administration and Supervision. Rose always served her family and community with love and a sparkling smile. She never met a stranger and would give the blouse off her back to help someone in need.
